One of the coolest places for kids to be this summer is the Marion County YMCA. And not just because they can beat the scorching heat by taking a dip in the pool for fun, take swim lessons, attend summer camp or participate on competitive or developmental swim team. According to adults and children alike, what they enjoy most is how they are treated.

Central Florida YMCA Names Buddy Evans as District Vice President

Buddy Evans joined the Central Florida YMCA as the District VP responsible for the overall operations of the Roper, South Lake County and Golden Triangle YMCAs. Buddy comes to Central Florida from the Atlanta Metro YMCA where he was Group Vice President.

Disney YMCA Graduates 154 Preschoolers

The Central Florida YMCA Family Centers at Walt Disney World, which opened five years ago, graduated 154 preschoolers who are the first class to have attended the center from their infancy through pre-kindergarten. The YMCA Disney Centers care for up to 648 children a day, 365 days a year, from 6 a.m. to 11p.m.
